Therapeutic/Relaxation Massage

Massage therapy is an investment in your health and wellbeing. Bodywork has the ability to transform, to cleanse, to open spaces long forgotten, to invite healing to enter and to bring balance to body, mind and spirit.  Just as your needs are as individual as  your fingerprint, each session is unique and customized to meet your goals in that moment.  I approach you and your session with an open heart and mind, educating and encouraging you to choose the tools and techniques that will bring you balance.

Just imagine:

What if your breath slowed and deepened?

and your shoulders dropped and you neck relaxed?

What if your spine was straight and flexible?

What if your stomach was relaxed and you low back was loose?

and your hips and pelvis were free?

What if your arms and legs felt longer?

and your hands and feet, fingers and toes felt brand new?

What if you could raise your arms over your head without stiffness or pain?

and you could reach down and touch your toes?

What if you could have an hour to yourself  and do nothing but receive?

What if you were aware of the birds singing, the sun on your face?

and you could smell the roses?

What if your mind was calm and clear, the chatter was silenced?

       and you remembered your path?

What if the world were a more pleasant place?

and everything and everyone seemed a little nicer?

Ahhh.

What if you got a massage?

When experiencing an acute injury, schedule several sessions once or twice per week for 3 or 4 visits, decrease frequency as you see improvement.

Weekly to bi-weekly massage is recommended for clients who live an active lifestyle with moderate to high levels of stress and
frequent to persistent aches, pains and tension.

Bi-weekly to monthly massage is ideal for clients dealing with minimal stress and pain, who are less active or who would just like the benefit of relaxation and wellness massage.

Tension and pain accumulates over weeks, months and decades, likewise it takes time to reverse these symptoms.  Massage therapy is most effective when received on a regular recurring schedule and supported with nutrition and exercise.

Session times equate to actual hands on work. Please expect your appointment to last an additional 15 -20 minutes for consultation both before and after the service.

Swedish: Can't beat a classic, this massage style has been around for ages, must be the benefits, promotes relaxation and wellness with long rythmic strokes, kneading, friction, vibration, percussion and rocking.

Deep Tissue/Myofascial: To relieve pain and tension and restore your body to its most natural, comfortable state.  Slow, deep strokes with fingertips, forarms and elbows, combine with deep stretching and breath work to facilitate release of hypertonic muscles and trigger points.

Hot Stone Wrap yourself in rocks!  Volcanic basalt stones harvested from the earth and gently heated, reach deep into the body to release and relax. Surrender your tension to the heat as your lie on a bed of warm, smooth stones while I work with rocks and hands to chase away those knots.

Integrative Massage:  The best of everything, this massage incorporates elements of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Hot Stone, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Stretching, Breath Work and Energy Work. Both therapeutic and relaxing.
